Dr. Macarena Heranz
Dr. Heranz was born in Guadalajara. After attending Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid for her undergraduate studies (Doctor of Dental Medicine) she received her Master’s Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
The 3-year Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program (180 ECTS) immerses pediatric dentists in scientific study and clinical experience, learning advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures, along with child psychology and clinical management, oral pathology, child-related pharmacology, radiology, child development, management of oral/facial trauma, care for patients with special needs, conscious sedation and general anesthesia.
She then went on to attend University of Southern Mississippi and did her Orthodontic Residency Program for another 3 years (180 ECTS), where she received a Master’s in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopedics for treating all Orthodontic cases, early children treatments, teenagers and adults.
Dr. Heranz is Certified in Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen® treatment, low-friction techniques (Damon ®, Smartclip®, Tip Edge®), lingual orthodontics (Incógnito®) and digital orthodontics (Insignia ®). Our office is equipped with the Itero Intraoral Scanner which removes the need for gooey dental impressions and also creates aligners with accuracy. Dr. Heranz is a member of American Association of Orthodontist (AAO), World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), Sociedad Española de Odontopediatría(SEOP), de la Sociedad Española de Ortodoncia (SEDO).
